This page summarizes the results from the FUSIMO and the TRANS-FUSIMO project.

FUSIMO has established a patient specific model of the relevant processes involved in the MR-guided FUS (MRgFUS) therapy to simulate the outcome of the therapy.
The benefits for the physician include:
• Assessing the feasibility of the intervention
• Predicting and optimizing the outcome
• Detecting potential risks and avoiding them

The TRANS-FUSIMO project is the successor project of FUSIMO and aims at the clinical translation of the patient specific planning and conducting of a FUS therapy in moving organs. The results of the TRANS-FUSIMO project will be validated ex-vivo and in-vivo. The main goal of the project is to provide a treatment system which allows for safe and efficient MRgFUS in the liver.
